Sisters for Sisters Development Organization (S4SDO) is an initiative by a group of women who have been working for women empowerment and development issues in many countries such as Afghanistan, Canada, Pakistan etc. this began when the founders Aziza Zareh and Parinaz Hissami discussed the issues and concerns that affect women which includes the devastating impact of domestic violence on women and their families, the prejudices that exist in the communities, and the gap between men and women in terms of their access and opportunities.
Founders called for a meeting with a group of like-minded women passionate about women empowerment, equality, and pluralism. Hence, several organizations are working for women here in Ontario but those are not sufficient. Therefore, having those issues in mind, S4SDO was established. The main office is in Scarborough Ontario and aims to open branches in other cities/provinces as needed.
S4SDO is a non-political, nonprofit, and independent organization. Its name stands that this group of professional and passionate Women support their own community, especially women, by creating sisterhood among the communities and strengthening pluralism.
